E. Primakov was delighted with Teliani Valley wine during Georgian wine-testing

On June 14, Georgian wine producer companies “Teliani Valley”, “Tbilgvino”, “Kindzmaraulis Marani” and “Telavi Wine Cellar” organized Georgian wine-testing for heads of chambers of commerce from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The presentation was held at the Two Side restaurant. Russian former Prime Minister, Mr. Evgeni Primakov attended the event, representing the Russian party. Within the framework of the visit, winemaking and its development was discussed; the primary topic was the trade embargo imposed by Russia. Mr. E. Primakov tasted prohibited Georgian wine at the Two Side restaurant. The first trial glass was filled with “Teliani Valley” red dry wine “Saperavi” that was met with great approval.
“If a similar wine, and not the counterfeited one, comes into the Russian market– it can not be disliked” – stated Mr. Primakov at the wine-testing. He has also emphasized that prohibition of Georgian wine realization was not a political decision. It was reasoned by distribution of numerous forged products under Georgian wine brands. Heads of chambers of commerce from the CIS states even received special presents from “Teliani Valley” Company – red wines specially produced for them, with personal labels.
