The First Open Amateur Championship in Rafting was held in Borjomi Participants of the Championship, including “Teliani ATU” team, formed together with “Teliani Valley” and “ATU Georgia”, got together in Borjomi Gorge. Various business organizations were involved in the Championship, held on 16-17 June. Each team had debutant rafters in their groups. Turkish professionals conducted master class for 144 amateur rafters of 22 participant teams. European prize winners arrived in Borjomi Gorge particularly for the Open Championship. Extreme sportspeople navigated the Kura River. Kutaisi Team became the winner of the Open Amateur Championship.
