Presentation of Georgian wine was held in Latvia.
On August 16 joint event of Georgian Wine Producers’ Union and Association of Georgian Sommeliers was held in Hotel Radisson, Riga. The aim of the event is to inform population of Riga about fake products that are bottled in Bulgaria, Spain and other countries of the world and that are sold in the main export markets of Georgian wine under the names of Georgian places of origin, e.g. Khvanchkara, Kindzmarauli and etc. There is a large amount of such products on various markets and this stands on the way of selling legally produced Georgian wine. Georgian Wine Producers’ Union, which was founded to promote Georgian wine, plans to organize such events in various counties of the world. The event held in Latvia is the beginning of the fight against fake production. Teliani Valley also participated in the event.
