Bank of Georgia’s associate company, Galt and Taggart Capital, bought part of Teliani Valley’s shares.
Bank of Georgia’s associate company JSC Galt and Taggart Capital became a strategic partner and shareholder of leading Georgian wine producer Teliani Valley. The reason of investing Teliani Valley was the potential of Georgian wine, in particular of wine produced by Teliani Valley and company’s growth capacity. According to the strategy, created by young management team of Teliani Valley, investment will be used to increase production capacity, to purchase vineyards in various micro zones, to improve marketing strategy and to increase sales of the highest quality Georgian wine locally and internationally. Investment will enable Teliani Valley and Georgian wine in general, to strengthen its positions on international wine market. In addition, investment will be used to develop new companies that are members of Teliani Group.
