New "Samshvenisi"
Company “Teliani Valley” produced a new series of wine for Easter – “Samshvenisi”: “Samshvenisi Ruby Dry” and “Samshvenisi Amber Dry”. “The production of the series of “Samshvenisi” was initiated by the wwinemaker at “Teliani Valley” - Simon Megutnishvili. The wine differs from the other ones by its special characteristics. According to the winemaker’s description: “Samshvenisi Amber Dry” is an adornment, it is a delicate, light, odorous, pleasant and a heady white dry wine. “Samshvenisi” is made of selected variety of the grapes of “Green”, “Rkatsiteli” and “Chinuri”. It is recommended to be served with fried fish and other sea products. But “Samshvenisi Ruby Dry” is a passionate, temperamental, aromatic red, unfiltered dry wine. “Samshvenisi Ruby Dry” is produced of Cabernet-Sauvignon harvested in Teliani micro zone and the Grape of Saperavi breed. It is recommended to be served with roast beef and cheese.
The name – Samshvenisi is called by the initiative of the winemaker as well – “Georgia is the home country of wine and the wine is decoration of Georgian Culture”.
Along with the production of “Samshvenisi” “Teliani Valley” launched the new action – “Georgia the Home Country of Wine”, the project serves to promote wine in young generation and help them to understand the culture Georgian wine. Within the frames of the action Teliani Valley held the two-day workshop on Georgian winemaking in which the students of Tbilisi Universities took part. The students became acquainted with the history of Georgian winemaking, Georgian traditions of wine production, classification and degustation.
